Conductive Education: communication, movement & learning approach

How can Conductive Education support my family

What is Conductive Education?

Conductive Education is a holistic educational approach based upon the science of neuroplasticity-the brain's incredible ability to learn and rewire through conscious, intentional practice.

Learning takes place through purposeful movement, repetition and motivation in a supportive environment.

Sessions are playful, relaxed and child-led. We learn through movement, play, songs, stories and meaningful everyday activities that are carefully tailored to your child's interests and goals.

How Can Conductive Education Support Your Family?

Conductive Education can provide valuable support for babies, children, young people and adults who may benefit from additional opportunities to develop movement, communication and play.

Support may include:

  • Gross and fine motor development
  • Communication and language skills
  • Play and social interaction
  • Coordination and motor planning
  • Confidence and independence
  • Everyday life skills
  • Early intervention support

What Happens During Conductive Education Sessions?

Every Conductive Education session is personalised around the learner's individual strengths, interests and goals. Meaningful learning happens best when people feel safe, connected and motivated.

Sessions are engaging, person-led and designed to support multiple areas of development at the same time.

Activities may include:

  • Structured play
  • Movement activities
  • Communication tasks
  • Sensory experiences
  • Problem-solving opportunities
  • Turn-taking activities

Children and adults are encouraged to become active participants in their own learning whilst being supported to develop confidence, communication, movement and develop new skills.

Why Early Intervention Matters

Early intervention can make a significant difference when children are experiencing delayed milestones, movement difficulties or motor planning challenges.

Whether your child is finding it difficult to sit independently, coordinate their movements or participate in play. Meaningful learning opportunities can help to develop confidence, independence and everyday skills.
