Do I need a diagnosis? 

No. You do not need a diagnosis to access Conductive Education. If you have concerns about your child's development, movement or delayed milestones, you are welcome to get in touch to discuss whether Conductive Education may be suitable for your family.

Is Conductive Education suitable for babies?

Yes, Conductive Education is suitable for babies from 6 months old. Early intervention can provide valuable opportunities to support movement, play, communication and independence skills through meaningful and engaging learning experiences.

Do you work alongside NHS therapists and schools?

Yes, I work alongside and liaise with NHS therapists and schools to help provide joined-up and consistent support where appropriate.

How often should my child attend sessions?

Most learners attend weekly sessions, although fortnightly sessions and intensive blocks of sessions can also work well depending on your child's goals, needs and your family's circumstances. Intensive programmes can be particularly helpful during the summer holidays or when working towards specific goals.

Are home visits available throughout Durham and the North East?

Yes, home visits are available throughout Durham, County Durham and the North East. I am based in Sherburn Hill and regularly travel across the North East to support babies, children, young people and adults through personalised Conductive Education programmes.

What should I bring to my first session?

I will bring a variety of fun activities that promote and support learning. There is no need to prepare anything in advance unless we have discussed it beforehand. I simply encourage children to come ready to play, explore and have fun.

Can Conductive Education support children with delayed milestones?

Yes, Conductive Education can provide early intervention support for babies and young children who are experiencing delayed milestones or would benefit from additional opportunities to develop movement, play, communication and independence skills.

What if my child finds it difficult to sit still or engage in activities?

That's absolutely fine. Sessions are tailored to your child's interests, strengths and individual needs. Conductive Education is flexible and can incorporate play, movement and sensory experiences to create meaningful learning opportunities in a way that feels engaging and achievable for your child.

My Baby Isn't Sitting Independently. Should I Be Worried?

Every child develops differently. If your baby is not yet sitting independently or is experiencing delayed milestones, early intervention can provide valuable opportunities to develop movement, confidence, play and communication skills.

My Child Has Coordination Difficulties. Can Conductive Education Help?

Conductive Education may support children experiencing coordination difficulties, motor planning challenges or movement difficulties through purposeful and meaningful learning opportunities.
