Meet Rachel

The face behind Conductive Education with Rachel Short

A young woman with long brown hair and glasses, standing among greenery.

I have been a Conductor for over 10 years but I have spent over 15 years passionately working with children with additional needs.

I am originally from Essex but now live in County Durham, where I now deliver Conductive Education sessions across the North East.

I have experience working with a wide range of children including Cerebral Palsy,  Down syndrome,  Autism, Dyspraxia and children with Complex Medical Needs.

I incorporate Integrated Communication Strategies (Level 4 Makaton) to ensure functional learning is accessible, engaging, and respecting  your child's unique communication style.

I am completing my Level 2 in Floristry, allowing me to explore creative therapeutic activities that align with my belief in helping children flourish. Also providing supportive workshops for parents/carers. Follow my social media for upcoming events.

I am also DBS checked, I am also a Paediatric First Aider and Mental Health First Aider.

I believe in supporting and empowering children and every session is designed with care to ensure that every child not only learns but thrives in an encouraging and nurturing environment.
